Has anyone seen Grave of the Fireflies? If not, I recommend it. I had seen it once many years ago and last Thrusday I watched it again. Is a gorgeous movie, and so sad I was crying the whole thing. I think it's one of the best Anime movies out there, and you don't even have to like Anime to enjoy this one. Warning: have a tissue at hand. I'm not

I cried for THREE DAYS after watching that movie! I would be in the store and randomly burst into tears thinking about.... what happens. Don't want to spoil it for anyone!

We watched Grave of the Fireflies in Japanese last year... I only half understood it, since I'm not FLUENT in Japanese, but I got the jist. And it was so sad.

I think I listed Grave of the Fireflies amongst the saddest movies I had ever seen at Wonky a while back. I own the DVD but can't bring myself to watch it too often. If only Pixar would hurry up and release Porco Rosso and Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind I'd have something happier to watch.
