Heating... Mom and I barely use the heater. I don't use it in my room and all, never, not even in winter when it's -10 C. I usually burn candles to heat the place and dress a little warmer, because the heating pipes are painted and they start to smell when I use the central heater ;) But to be honest, I don't like rooms that are heated much in general. The air gets so dry... Err what I'm trying to say is, is that it might not be too hard to save on that ;)
well, mom looked at the apartments, and evidently hyacinth is in the ghetto. they're doing an "urban renewal" thing to a lot of areas around cleveland, and those areas will be very nice in 10 years, but as for two people not from cleveland living in them right now... yeah. not such a good idea.
we'll keep looking. mom said there are a ton of lofts like this being built all over the place.
she also said that the cost to heat an apartment in winter can get as expensive as your rent. so we should really be looking for places that INCLUDE heat in the cost of rent (most apartments up here do.)
