OMG, AO3 is  much better metric of how many people like your fic than LJ.  Don't get me wrong; I will always post my fics on LJ.  This is their home.  But all I have to go by here are comments.  There I can see how many people are actually looking at my fic and then there's the whole "kudos" thing, which is sort of like the "like" button on

Wooo! More vampire!Sherlock! Those numbers are about what I get for the first day of a new Supernatural fic up at FF.N, but I don't know how different AO3 and the Sherlock fandom are.

Speaking of AO3, I kind of love it there. But since I already post on FF.N and Livejournal and Tumblr, and I have a compulsive need to put every single fic on every single site, would it be kind of ridiculous to start crossposting everything to a fourth venue? I want to play in the AO3 sandbox, but I don't want to be an attention whore. XD

You aren't the only one to cross post to a million different venues. Personally I avoid FF.net and I usually only use Tumblr to link back to LJ.

I can't remember if I already have your email, but if you're interested in getting an invite just send it to me and I'll pass it along to you. No idea how many invites I get to give out, but I might as well start giving them away cuz wtf else a I going to do with them...

I know FF.N is kind of a cesspool, but it was my first fandom home and I can't quite bring myself to abandon it. XD

No worries on the invite - I got one when I did Yuletide last year. I should just start utilizing it...

A03 is pretty cool. Bit difficult to track a fic though. I have like 4 authors bookmarked on my comp from A03 that I have to compulsively check everyday to see if they updated.

You can subscribe to a fic and/or author on AO3 and get email updates.

I'm not a member on A03 though. IDT theres a way to get email updates without being a member
