So I Asked Myself What All This "Hetalia" Biz is About...

You know, it's really ridiculous. I haven't seen one iota of Axis Powers Hetalia manga or anime, but I'm already reading a bit of fanfic (Nice work, geministar01!) and favoriting cartoons of it on Deviant Art like crazy. I guess you just need to know the slightest bit about your own country and the countries around you to be amused by the fanworks. Especially

Saaa~, sou da ne! XD You're totally right, you know. That's actually exactly how I got into the fandom, too. Though admittedly, it was the side story "America Cleans Out The Storage" that really got me hooked.

To be honest, I'm actually not a huge fan of the 'main storyline', the one that focuses on Italy and Germany and Japan in WW2. If that was all there was to it, I wouldn't enjoy the series near as much. But the "extra" stories that span all periods of history are just the biggest hoot ever. And, as previously started, the fandom is WONDERFUL.
