Intense! How like Sylar to taunt poor Mohinder like that? guh, love it. Heh.

You did such a great job of evoking such powerful feelings with such few words, the whole scene was so wonderfully vivid to me as I read.

Go Mohinder!

I'd like to think that we'll get more scenes of them interacting, preferably with Sylar being his regular asshatty, mocking self and Mohinder being defiant and self-righteous. At least one scene of them acting normal would be enough for me!

Thanks! I had wondered if this drabble might come off as a little confusing, but I'm glad that you enjoyed reading it :)

I love that image of the blood splattering when Mohinder exhales, it was really effective.

Yay! I've been trying to ease off of my crutch of simply describing eye movement, so I'm very happy to hear that that description worked for you.

Thank you!

Ah yes, the Mohinder and Sylar I know. The characters we met and followed in S1 and S2. How nice to see them again.

This is a really great drabble. I love that you capture the intensity of the relationship and that what might be confusing to others makes so much sense for them. On the one hand there's that fight for power but it's only worth it when there's a counterattack. Sylar wants Mohinder to take him on, he wants Mohinder to push himself to the brink in an attempt to stop Sylar while also forcing Sylar to think quick.

You've managed to convey the intelligence to the physical battle they engage in.

The psychological games are an extension and I like that you've got Mohinder in a position that is vulnerable yet he doesn't give up. He struggles to keep himself going and then goes for it. This is so very much Mohinder -- in the face of insurmountable odds he finds it in himself to keep fighting.

Heh, yeah, I shouldn't have felt so bitter as I did while posting this, but I have to admit, I did :P I want our old favorite characters back!

I'm extremely thrilled that you could take so much from a simple drabble and make it seem a lot smarter than I actually thought that it was.

Sylar wants Mohinder to take him on, he wants Mohinder to push himself to the brink in an attempt to stop Sylar while also forcing Sylar to think quick. Even keeping S3 canon Sylar in mind, I'd like to think that he's still on a sort of self-destructive path, only now, he can further enjoy watching the attempts that others are making in trying to best him, and how they usually fail at doing so. However, I think that he still feels as though he has a capable adversary in Mohinder, which is why I don't think he'd want to see Mo going down without a fight. This is one of the main reasons why I ship the pairing so much, and why I'm so disappointed that the writers are (so far) ignoring all of the material they could work with in regards to having the ( ... )

You know, retcon and bullshit aside, I've gone from confusion to anger to bitter to irritation to whatever, all in a matter of days. It's all frakked up but I'm actually still looking forward to Mohinder and Sylar coming face to face. The thing is, I actually do want to see how that plays out especially with what's happened since they last saw each other. And so, in that sense, I'm not completely done with this show :-)

Your drabble is actually pretty deep. I really do think it captures what I love about their interactions and the way they relate to one another.

Oh yeah, I'm also not finished with Heroes, as frustrated as I am with it right now. I'm starting to doubt that we're going to get many - if any - future scenes between Mohinder and Sylar in this volume, which is sad to think about, but I'm still holding out hope that Mohinder at the very least will revert back to his old lovable, snarky, altruistic self. I've definitely gone through the same kind of mood swings as you described; hopefully it's just a fluke for this week, and I won't feel the need to rage as much after next Monday's ep :P

Aww! I really appreciate all of that. Thanks so much, again <3

You're always so good at drawing out a lot of imagery and description in very few words. Just those few lines about the blood and saliva and injuries makes it feel like they've been whaling on each other for a while, and they're still just getting started. I wouldn't mind seeing this kind of smackdown between them before Mo gets depowered. (IF he does... I'm steering clear of spoilers, so at least there's speculation to have fun with.) Something more than 3x07 Sylar being all "HAI MOHINDER!" *TK* *FACEWALL* and Mohinder being all "NO U!" *HEADFLOOR*

Anyway. Great little drabble. Nice to see bastard!Sylar and his mind games and wanton violence. ;)

Wow. I've probably said this before, but to hear all of that from someone as talented as yourself, it really means a lot to me! *Hugs*

I wouldn't mind seeing this kind of smackdown between them before Mo gets depowered.
I want to see this too! It would be great to see them run into each other again and maybe snarking at each other a bit while "catching up", then having an awesome super-powered fight until Arthur comes to separate them again and send them both into Time Out.

Nice to see bastard!Sylar and his mind games and wanton violence. ;)
I love Sylar the most when he's being unabashedly manipulative and bitchy, so that's probably why I have the most fun writing him that way.

Thanks so much! I'm glad you liked ^_^

How are you so awesome? Seriously. This sounds like it could be an actual scene from the show (and DEAR GOD I hope it will be). This is the Sylar and Mohinder I love, and this is the reason why I ship them. Even more so than Sylar and Peter I think they're two sides to the same coin; it's a constant battle, fighting tooth and nail to bring the other one down, but I still get the feeling that neither of them want it to be over, and I think that's exactly what you've captured here.

*loves*

OMG, thank you so much! Peter/Sylar used to be my second favorite ship, but even though they've had some intense scenes together, I still think Mylar trumps that pairing: in shared history, mutual adversity, and subtexual homoeroticism. You're absolutely right in that it is a constant battle between them, and that's probably why I still ship the pairing so much.

(and DEAR GOD I hope it will be)
ME TOO!!

How are you so awesome?
NO U! ;D
