“Daddy, I love you!” she exclaimed, but she couldn’t jump up to hug her father due to the needles and tubes had been currently attached to her skin.

Holy cracp, this was so moving. I didn't think anything would hurt me more than what Elle did to Tweety, but then, oh god, the woman made of gold. It makes so much sense---maybe Bob's power kicked in late and he didn't know what he was doing. The horror. I loved the parallels between the mom and the bird. You did a truly beautiful job here of exploring Elle and giving some insight into Bob's tragedies and motivations. Really gorgeous writing, and very powerful.

This has become my personal canon for Elle and Bob.

Thank you so, so much! This turned out to be one of those things I planned on being so short, and then new things just kept coming to me. I think that Elle's story would be even more tragic had she wanted to be normal when she was very young, and then, as she gained control of her power and realized the full extent of it, she then became more and more of the sadistic sociopath that we got in V2. I also wanted to give Bob a more sombre background, and as we still don't know what happened to Elle mother, the idea of the golden woman worked well for both the remaining Bishops' stories.

And OMG really!? I'm extremely flattered to hear that. I don't think I've ever had an impact on someone's personal canon before, except maybe if you count completely cracked out theories that make no sense at all. Again, thank you for your kind and generous review ^_^ *hugs*
