Let's move on to a better topic... BIKES!!!

So I took my old bike to Montrose Bike. The guy said, "It's not in bad condition, but after we tune it up and put new tires on it, it will probably run about $150. You can probably get a more comfortable and lighter weight bike for $300 or so."

He turned me on to Electra Cruisers.

oh, they are all darling! they are 300 now? about three years ago i looked at them and they were $500. wow! I really want a new spiffy one too!! why not? lets do it! ha

OH, no, they can be pricey. The last one is $320 down the street. I think the others are in the $400-450.

Yeah, I really think I NEED one! And I deserve it.
I work too much and I don't have a boyfriend. I should at least have a cute bike!

oh then if you dont have a boyfriend. get one!! you will love it, plus its exercise :) i took the kids last night downtown for the shaved ice, and i really liked it. it just slows everything down. i could hve drove, but it was not the same. i am going to do it again today. its so fun :) i saw a lady on a cute cruiser bike . it s beige, and really flashy. i should have asked her what it was. what color are you going to get. that last green one is cute :)

Those are soooo cute! So, are they single speed or have fancy shifting stuff?

They are either no speed or 3-speed.

The one I like for function is the last picture. It's a 7-speed and has hand brakes. But I love the one with the pink rims.

Bianchi is a good bike. I'll probably check out a bunch of them before getting anything.

I've not heard of Electra, but I've been out of the bike loop for awhile. Do you know anything about them?

I went through that entire website yesterday. FUN! I think the "Amsterdam" is pretty sharp. I checked out the Townies while in the store yesterday, they're pretty nice too. Total comfort bike.

I'm checking out a couple other dealers. Montrose Bike it pretty cool. Same owner for the last 25 years. It's a pretty cool little shop. That's for the advice regarding the test ride/tune up. If I do decide to purchase through them, I'll inquire about what else I get for my money! :)
