YOU GUYS.

This is driving me insane. I'm trying to do my Research Commission, and I've got that thing where every time I paste/add-picture-from-file, it flies up to the top of the page and refuses to come back again.

DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO STOP THIS FROM HAPPENING?

I'm afraid I don't know how to stop it happening but I can share your frustration because it's happened to me before, too!

Use something that is not microsoft word?

Front page might actually be better, or any proper layout program, if you have one and know how to use it. Failing that, use scissors and glue!

I'll think about it... argh. Scissors and glue definitely won't work, as it has to be professionally printed, eventually.

I just thought how that won't work. Frontpage doesn't have automatic footnoting or anything, does it? *sigh*

Footnotes would be a bitch that way yes. Ah well, worth a shot.

And after looking at Frontpage, I've come to the conclusion that would be even more unweildy.

Ok, after you hace the picture in the thing you need to left click it and press "Format Picture". Click "Layout" and one of those options with the dog can help you. :D

I've already tried 'square' and 'tight' which are the standard ones. The others all have text in weird places, and none of them drag the picture down again...

Normally, I do "In front" or something like that and then have to manually write around the picture.
