While it might come as a shock to some people, Gilly is perfectly capable of getting her shit together to pull something off when she's motivated. This is why she's up at seven, traipsing up and down the stairs with her hair half done and no pants on...singing Disney songs...demanding pancakes ( Read more... )

Sally, by default, is a little bit more controlled, though it's difficult not to be more controlled than her sister. She's not going to lie and say that she isn't excited - because it's Disney and no matter how old you get, Disney is always the best thing on any plane of existence - but she actually remembered jeans this morning and is not forgetting that fact.

"I'm ready," Sally says, pulling out this PINpoint thing because she thinks that's going to be ten times easier than any other means of transportation.

"You have to do me a favor, though. You have to breathe. It's hot in Disney. It's not going to be nearly as fun if you pass out and I have to carry out over my shoulder on all the rides." Sally has the PINpoint out and is ready to cart them off toward round-eared, mouse bliss, but she's looking at her sister like Gilly, it's glitter you put on not speed, though she's kind of laughing and it's hardly not obvious.

"I'm breathing," Gilly protests, but she obediently (sort of) dials her enthusiasm down a few notches for safety. She leans over and threads her fingers with Sally's free hand, grinning. "I'll be good."

"The girls want you to bring them home Mickey Mouse," Gilly says, just before punching in their coordinates, giving her sister's hand a squeeze. "But I'm drawing the line at Minnie because I think she'd be better conversation."

Sally doesn't really give Gilly much time to reply to that but the PINpoint takes them there quick enough - instantly, it seems - and Sally is more or less waiting for something, anything from Gilly by the time they roll up in front of Magical Kingdom like a couple of zaney cat ladies. "Tada!"

Lo and Behold, Disney.

Gilly squeals with inappropriate enthusiasm for someone who is technically an adult, and hangs off Sally's hand, swinging sideways. "I want to go on everything," she says, helpfully.
