You Tube Question

Anyone who knows me knows I don't have TV. Couldn't afford it. Have been watching things on the internet. People told me to check out Youtube to watch some shows and they are there HOWEVER they are horribly grainy. Everything I've tried to watch has been thus. Is this the norm? Or do I need to adjust my settings or something

I don't think there's any way to get better results from YouTube - everything there is downsized to save disk space and download time.
