I really liked She-Ra as a kid, and I was recently excited to find one of the tie-in books left over from my childhood at my nan's. I read it to my daughter, and was surprised and disappointed that the plot consisted of there being a problem and She-Ra bravely stepping up to... go and fetch He-Man to fix it.
I think the kids' superhero cartoons of today that my kids watch, like PJ Masks, are better.
