If he's not the zodiac killer why has he not addressed the issue?

Exactly. A nice firm declaration should do it. "I did not kill anyone in the 1960s. Or the 1970s."

Then people could relax!

In fairness I feel the declaration would not be complete if he clarified it for the 80s, 90s, 00s, 10s and put down a firm commitment that he wasn't planning on opening a murder basement in the White House in the future too.

Just. You know. The guy looks shifty.

If that Florida poll was anything like the telephone polls I've been through (and it appears to have been an automated voice; see the question, "If you are a woman, press 1. If you are a man, press 2"), by the time they got to the Zodiac killer question, the people would have said anything just to get it over with. I thought the point of asking questions like that was to see if the people you're surveying have zoned out or are just giving you BS. Apparently a lot of them are.

Or it could be the crazification factor.

Not in this case. Nothing in your link is equivalent of accusing a man of crimes that occurred before he was born, whose perpetrator was middle-aged at the time. The people who said yes aren't thereby crazy: they either don't know anything about the Zodiac killer, or don't give a hoot about the question, or just like throwing random insults at Ted Cruz. The last of these is actually a reasonable motivation.

I followed the link because I *do* remember when everyone was Kung Fu Fighting, only to discover that someone was way ahead of me.

I hardly ever think of the other moon these days. I've gotten used to just one. Who'd imagine that was possible?

On the other hand, I'm so relieved my cats are no longer as fast as light'ning.

The link about black-and-white thinking-- I do think the public sphere has been becoming nastier, but I'm not at all sure much blame goes to GWB.

For one thing, OBL was the fellow who turned hijacking from inconvenience into mass murder.

I'm also unsure about the age range of the most aggressive posters, or the Tea Party. I do find it plausible that 9/11 traumatized Americans.
