I'm sure he must be popular with somebody, because he's in movies and has a career and seems to be well paid. But I am yet to meet anybody who actually likes him.

We're going to have to go outdoors to eat our burgers?

Meat-eaters should be treated like smokers, says the ve cartesiandaemon September 25 2015, 12:15:44 UTC
"Meat eaters should be treated in the same way as smokers and targeted with ad campaigns urging them to become vegetarians, according to Labour's new spokeswoman for the farming industry."

Although as I ranted elsewhere, I think that's quite scummy reporting. Yes, what it literally says is true if you're particularly pedantic, but it sounds like she said that as spokeswoman, rather than "the person who was later appointed to cabinet position, six months ago, gave an interview to a vegan website, which we lifted a paraphrase from without acknowledging the time gap or giving any credit to the original source".

I'm also conflicted. I agree that would be unworkable as policy. But in theory, I think it would be an ideal society could move towards eventually. If politicians are only allowed to have ideals for which they they have a detailed policy worked it already just in case they're appointed to a lesser cabinet position in six months time, politicians will never have ideals at all...

I also had a long laundry list of minor annoyances with the article which are not really relevant but annoyed me ( ... )

Yup, that's the second time in about a fortnight that I've found the Indie's reporting to be just shoddy (the last one was an article about how the imminent England plastic bag tax would CAUSE CHAOS! AND INSANITY!). And it's not even like I read the Indie much. Rather disappointed, what with that and the Grauniad/Observer being a bit rubbish about its reporting of Corbyn. That doesn't really leave anything decent.

"52. THAT. IS. NOT. A. PIE. IT’S A CASSEROLE WITH A LID."

I have ranted about this twice, in the last week. Not because I had a failpie, but I had a nice proper pie and was making my feelings re failpies clear.

Although if served one, I would of course not say anything but would be absolutely outraged on the inside.

> 20. When you’ve done nothing all weekend and then spend Monday at work feeling inadequate as people ask you what you got up to.

I'm immune to that now. Got baby. (Weekend was shit. Don't ask again.)
