I'm distressed at how obscure it seems to be that social Darwinism was refuted over a century ago with Mutual Aid.

Boroughmuir high school was meant to move there last I heard, and the bit where I believe I've understood it's meant to go really doesn't look big enough itself.
Ditto the back of the National Museum -- I know they want to move Potterrow to have a 90 degree bend and so go through the existing students' union building (the 'dome' venue at the fringe for everybody else), but presumably that would need to be rebuilt. So where would a cinema go?
At least the Fountainbridge plan would keep it near to what that article calls the culture quarter.
