The important thing to remember is it's your day, so you can do as you wish and invite who you wish and generally ignore what anyone else thinks!

I'm glad you have found a compromise as I think Julie's grandfather is important to be included. Best wishes to both of you and I look forward to being invited to whatever you wish to invite us to. SRSLY 40???? No way?

Congratulations on your impending nuptials! I'm very sorry to hear about Julie's family illness.

I can attest that having separate legal and big-party weddings is a really good way to do things; it takes a lot of the stress out of both of them somehow.
