Why do people have to lie about what/who they are on the internet, until the reach the stage that they've created a whole new persona for themselves, which has very little in common with the person in reality

hum... I started out just stickily simming. have a starwars persona and only showing that , but I was 16 and an idiot. now i find that is way to much work and have grown up. Now i just talk like who i am, pretense is too hard. I am just too tiered to make stuff up and i find no benefit to it, further more my real life is more interesting and more dynamic then anything i could come up with.
I realized something the other day when i was thinking about this very subject, real stories rarely have an end, typical have no point or even theme....

But I feel there's a difference between simming, and constantly being a "different" person, as some people do. The simming is a way of Entertainment and is only brief, and you don't take yourself seriously when simming. *l*

true, my false hoods were always very clearly false. If you meet a girl claming to be a 300 year old jedi master, you know that isn't the truest of statments.
I did use to do more hardcore simming (i don't anymore) where it was like, you would write as this other person for hours at a time, but again it was clear that this was a simm and this isn't how i really thought i was.
But allot of it may have to do with age. When i was 16 i was paranoid, I was sacred and i didn't think things out. If this person is young maybe they will grow out of it? maybe when they get in to college or real life they will be like. oh.. i can just be my self.
If they are old.. omg wow :/ dude that is messed up and no healthy!
Chrissie darling, this post was more about the point in general, and not to criticise one person. If it was, I'd name the names :( But this person was just an example who came to mind, ya know? :(
