I'm watching Animal Cops New York. They found 3 puppies abandoned in an apartment. One of them was barely breathing. The agent radioed ahead to the hospital and drove sirens blaring and lights flashing through the back streets of Queens to get her to the hospital. She had no detectable heartbeat. I got sigged! Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery they say, but online of course they go one better and simply quote things they like wholesale. Have you ever had a song, or worse a commercial jingle stuck in your head? To the point where you thought "You know, if I were to yank my brains out through my nose, that might help?" -
Mom am I an alien?
I think my feet have begun to sweat acid. I'm going through socks faster than a sorority girl goes through boyfriends. Is that offensive? Faster than a fat kid goes through ho-hos? Faster than grass through a goose? Faster than a pit bull goes through chihuahuas? I'm not sure what works here. ^^; -

In life, we rarely pause to consider past joys. No matter how excellent a meal, for example, how often does one later recollect the pleasure of eating it? I would often be troubled to tell you what I had for dinner just a few hours later. But it's nice to know that asparagus will always be there to remind you later. -

Some days this feels less like a cute truism then a godawful curse. Sometimes I think it would be really nice to take a vacation away from myself.
