This is sweet and fascinating and a very insightful exploration of where Steve and Danny's respective issues would take them in a marriage. Loved it, thank you.
I really enjoyed this! It was a very believable scenario. I could see something like what happened to those civilians being one of the few things that would make Danny leave Steve. I like that Steve never really gave up,and you could see that Danny still loved him as well. I also liked the way you had them find their way back to each other, starting with Danny's first tentative steps toward trusting Steve again to Steve declaring his feelings and Danny's final acceptance and willingness to take steps to begin again.
Lovely, Danny sees more that Steve has changed he just needs to take it slow. I thought it was great the Grace got Danny over to Steve's. Danny going back to 5-0 and lasting makes me know that they will get back together....wonderful, brilliant story I loved every second of it and how each of them had their issues to go through. How Steve is giving Danny the time, them the time to get close again and how Danny made sure that they didn't just jump in where they left off......amazing job
Thank you so much for reading and I'm glad you liked! Esp. the Grace part, since originally she wasn't in it at all until my brain went 'oh come on, at least SHOW 13-year-old Grace'.
Oh man, when I first saw this posted, I was too busy to go read it but somehow it worked just fine because reading this was an excellent way to ~relax~. I truly enjoyed the realistically happy ending. Thank you for writing this.

Hypothetically this is a great and terrible idea.
Great because it's Steven McGarrett.
Terrible because he may accidentally SEAL-choke me.
But it's the thought that counts. :D
