Agh, this hurts so good. Even though we didn't see the break, we understood it, you know? You could really feel the space between them. That van scene put my teeth on edge -- I can only imagine how they felt. This was really well done, with just the right amount of hopefulness in the end.

This is just gorgeous. My heart fucking ached throughout the entire story, but it was the best kind of ache, and just...man. I'm completely blown away.

hahaha I was going to let myself read this as a reward for finishing up some work but I couldn't concentrate so just came here and read it anyway. this is SO GOOD. ugh. I can't even believe how much it hurts to think of them being apart. not just not being together, but not being partners. DANNY WOULDN'T EVEN LET HIM KNOW WHERE HE LIVED. GOD.

and Steve. poor broken Steve. burning through partners because none of them can keep in line, none of them know when to push or when to pull. because none of them are Danny. and Chin and Kono keeping 5-0 together the best they can (and I have no doubt that they are the reason 5-0 is even still together) and just. *flails*

also the end is fantastic. teenage Grace is totally my favorite. and the very end where you don't know if they're a couple again or not and it doesn't even matter.

**Flails incoherently** I don't even.... Broken!boys are so sweet and sad and just... their emotions are all jumbled up and mixed and they're so hurt. And I love that they don't actually make it back together at the end, but there's that hope and knowledge that, eventually, they will. ♥
