I'm sorry you had such nasty situations in X-Files fandom. I know I said it to you yesterday, but I don't get why people don't just get along. We don't all need to ship (or not ship) the same thing - half of the fun is having discussions about what we all take from the show!

Exactly! I mean, sure, it's great to find people who like the same things, but there's no point in fighting with the ones who don't!

And I know that not whole X-Files fandom is evil or anything, but to be fair, I never had similiar situations in other fandoms. Even if I got into some shipping wars (which were and still are - ridiculous) I felt like I was in a group, while with X-Files I felt painfully singled out. And also maybe because those nasty situations in the X-Files fandom were rarely in the open. People rarely openly said "I don't like that you like those pairings, we can't be friends anymore". There were however unpleasant conversations and plenty of defriends as well. And constant answering the questions "No disrespect, but how on earth can you ship Mulder/Krycek?" and "If you ship Mulder/Krycek why on earth you read Mulder/Scully sometimes?"

And I know those don't sound really hateful and they weren't the worst I've hear by far, but I was asked questions like this over and over again. It almost seemed as if it would be

Unpleasant conversations and defriends are almost worse because they're so subtle (and underhanded) and sometimes you don't know what you've done or why they're making such an issue of it. And when they're constant as well you just get tired of defending yourself, which you shouldn't have to do in the first place!

You should definitely join xf-book-club if you haven't already. That's a really good comm and wendelah1 moderates it and she's lovely. We've had some good conversations on into-the-woods too though I'm a rubbish mod and don't actually livewatch as much as I should!

I'm sure I was in xf_book_club before, but I must have left it, when I cut off from X-Files fandom some more :/ I shall rejoin now! :D (Especially since a slash story is the subject ;D) Though I can't promise I will be very active, when I'm not in the mood for a fic no kind of community will make me ;D

I'm sorry you're feeling so awful. I hate when I'm sick. I'm like the biggest whiny baby ever when I'm sick. It doesn't help that I like to be petted and pampered when I'm sick, and my husband just wants to be left completely alone. So when he's sick, I try to pamper him and he gets irritable, and when I'm sick he just leaves me alone so I get irritable. *grin*

I had a rather terrible flu that I just managed to fight off, I think this could be some final strike from it. Weakened body plus stress, terrible weather and some food that disagreed with me and bam!

During that flu I just missed my mum terribly XD While I dont miss her normally, we talk on the phone, I visit home once a month or so and it's usually enough for me. When I'm sick and grumpy, I just want my mum to take care of everything (and me) so I can be sick in peace ;D

Yeah, while I prefer to write in English sometimes I would like to practice my Polish writing again ;) We should hold more fests challenges like this in Polish, or you know, Polish versions of English ones, so the whole Polish fandom can enjoy it :D But as per usual, not too many people would be interested :/

I will try to upload on some other site, I like hellshare, but if it refuses to co-operate I will try something else as well :) Will comment again with a link, when I'm done :)

I'm really excited about the Teen Wolf fandom I've found it to be incredibly welcoming and awesome. I was a bit scared coming from a tiny assed fandom. I was worried it was gonna be all big and tough to break into, like some other big fandoms that I'm mainly a lurker with.

I'm doing the big bang mixup as well! Just as a mixer though. I've got ALL the damned big bangs already beating down my door.

I keep wanting to write more disturbing AND femslash fics but then I get all lazy and don't. But I would most certainly read the hell out of it if someone wrote it.

I've actually got my rough draft due on the 31st and art claiming is Feb. 7. I'm SUPER excited. Mainly because I've become disgusting obsessed with this Circus verse my story is set in. xD

I've just been in the same fandom for so long that I was like O_O what do I do!?!? But the fics are AMAZING and so are the people so I'm like... "Yeah I can totally hang out with y'all."

Actually, that's the one I might be doing art for xD (Well, art in my case will be a fanmix, maybe some icons.) I'm I "might", because I know only a few fandoms on the list and we shall see if I manage to claim a story from them :)

Did someone say "maybe I will think about going back to that Mulder/Krycek vampire story"? heh heh heh (I feel like I need a "nobody expects Spanish Inquisition" icon). And in my opinion, you should totally think about going back to it. Like right now. And then actually go back to it.

Although I suppose you could take a day or two to get healthy again. Hope you're feeling better now, BTW.

"In a Dark Time" is a great fic, but I'm never going back to it - it's just too frustrating that it's unfinished.

"Mulder/Krycek vampire story" is like a summoning spell, isn't it? If I was more of a Gryffindor I'd say three times in front of a mirror XD

And in my defence all my started atempts of it and notes died along with my old laptop, so I would have to start from the scratch, which is not entirely a bad thing, but still... A very good excuse ;D

As for the fic, what do you mean it's not finished? It ends with 'finis' and all xD I'm now reading the sort of and epilogue or interlude or whatever, don't know how this one ends. It's interesting to read something I know I've read, but have close to no recolection of it. But it sure is not one of my favourite M/K fics. I'm not 100% sold on the author's style. I recognize it as a good style, but not one that I like. Also, I'm not a fan of 2nd season Krycek stories. *shrugs* I like it when he's openly a messed up cookie ;)
