Ooogh! Yeah, sounds like time to rebuild, with all the insanity that entails. (She says as someone who doesn't think there's every been more than a 6 month gap between remodelling projects in any house she's lived in her entire life. And the 6 month gap was after something which was supposed to take 3 months took 2 years.)
I hope things go well. A good contractor is worth their weight in gold. And black mold is really not something to mess around with. That stuff is nasty.

... At least we're coming out of rather than heading into winter? When the aunts and uncles built the farm house half of one wall wasn't finished, I don't think it was insulated, and it didn't stop snowing for about... six weeks.
