Well, I think the whole four blogs in January thing worked out okay. Granted, I did leave them to the last minute and I'm not sure February will be any better since it's already the 6th and I'm only just making this post

Just think of each month as having two LJ deadlines, say, the 14th and the 28th. Covers February very well, eh? And Yahoo!, for one, will let you set up a calendar so it will send you up to two nagging reminders for any event or deadline you care to set. And you can tell it to repeat those dates until you tell them to stop.
Similar to the question on characters, when you write do you draw out the maps of the settings? I'm thinking in particular of the Quarters series, where you have different provinces/principalities to deal with, I personally would find it useful to draw a map of all the physical features. Is this the method you use?
My cousin and I (both big fans) always considered yours to be "smile and shut the door" books. Is there a reason you seem to shy away from more R-rated material?
Does living in the country make it harder to write 'urban fantasy'? I know Google Earth and the Internet can be accessed for actual urban landscape details pretty much anywhere, but does the different rhythm of life in the country affect the pace of the story?
Or just make it harder to settle down to writing anyway? :-)
