I haven't been around much have I?  I mean, not in a public author blogging sort of a way.  So, as a New Year's resolution, I resolve to be around a bit more.  And yes,  you can post resolutions on the 3rd... no point in posting on the 1st, no one would have been here.

About pet peeves you've encountered during the day/week/year and how you've dealt with them? Or, in the spirit of l'esprit de l'escalie, how you wish you had? Either with more grace or more panache, for example.

It is entirely the fault of your choice of icon - I had not even finished reading that paragraph when "blog about your cats" came to mind - split seconds before your cat-barf disclaimer. Seriously, if you have any suggestions about discouraging a very anxious/territorial male-neuter cat from peeing on the children's coat hems, I'm all ears ( ... )

I'm with the person who likes hearing about life. So, stories from your childhood, how you met the beloved, fun, interesting, or amusing things that you learned or that happened while visiting cool places.

I would like to read your thoughts on food. From the humblest sandwich to the first fresh produce of summer, food is something that is with us every day and is easy to overlook. Blogging isn't an outlet for lofty thoughts and world changing. Most times it's just finding meaning in the daily question, "what's for dinner?"
