My GP called this morning.  Apparently I've knocked off two 3 milimeter pieces of bone -- one from each side of my ankle.  She has no idea how I've managed to do that but one came off with a wrenched tendon and one with a ligament.  Right at the moment, there's nothing stabilizing my ankle so we're heading into the city this afternoon for a lace-up ( Read more... )

I didn't have a chance to respond to the last two posts - so I will put in my "poor sweet baby" here !

I've injured my ankles far too many times, so I feel your pain. (or at least, I have !) Give yourself time to heal, and depending on your doctor's advice, remember to stretch, gently, once you are not supposed to keep it immobile.

Ouch! I sure hope the ankle brace does the trick while you're healing.

I had to wear a lace up ankle brace for six weeks. I had an accident involving goats and a moped. It's fairly comfortable to wear. Good luck healing and watch out for dangerous steps!

LOL The goats emerged from scrub on the side of the road rather quickly and startled me. The moped and I fell over.

The particular island I was visiting had 2000 people and 6000 goats. I presume the goats believed they had the right of way.
