Not My Job EunKyo looked around the large room, noting the frightened look on the faces of the younger kids. They'd protest being called kids, of course, although she knew they were - and so was she, but she was older so she could do that - but they were still scared. She was pretty scared herself, actually. Her eyes lit on DongHo, and she grinned. He looked up at her and drew back, wary. He really didn't have anywhere to go, of course, but that was beside the point. "Catch," she said, and tossed some of her fireworks at him.
As she expected, they missed because his reflexes were legendary, but it caught the attention of some of the younger kids. Kibum especially, because she knew his older brother was out there, stopping the people trying to get into the school. He and the rest of the kids from his class looked at her in interest to see what she might do next. She glanced around, and then caught Tia's eyes. "Here," she said, and sent her fireworks gently in her direction. Tia smiled brightly and caught them - just light after all - and created more patterns and decorations, delighting the other children around her.
It took their mind off the battle going on outside, kept them focused in there as she played with her powers and with them. Minji helped, acting appropriately cat-like to go after the bursts of light, and soon enough the tension had eased.
For possibly the first time in her life, EunKyu was glad her talent couldn't hurt anyone. Seeing the smiles around her made her feel so much better - and them, as well - that she thought that even if she couldn't fight, she could still do some good.
