Today was Maggie's one month check up. And we got the other kids (and me) tested. The sheer number of studies around diabetes (type 1) is mind boggling. They're still trying to understand it better ( Read more... )

Me, too. It is so good to see her - she's gained 6 lbs in the month since she was diagnosed. It's stunning - she looks SO much better.

Sugar lows are scary. I know how unnerving they are in an adult, and it has to be so much worse with a small child. At least, scary as hypo episodes are, they're also that easy to treat.

I'm glad to hear she's stabilizing fast and that you're managing it all fine ♥.
