ILU BB. Okay, so you knew that. But I also love this fic (you probably knew that too). It's funny because your Damon is SO DAMON (truer to the characterization than virtually every other fanfic Damon out there) but I also see a ton of you in him. It's a nice melding, actually. But that doesn't surprise me. You excel at that archetype. What surprises me is your Elena... see, I know full well that you're an awesome writer, but her voice doesn't seem to me like one that would come to you naturally. But... I think I'm wrong? She's written beautifully (and honestly and without any air of forced characterization) and she's SUCH a teenage girl (you nailed it with the 'conversation is over but she can't quite let it go' thing and the 'inner adult' comment). Honestly? I think I'm finding Damon harder because I'm being overly critical of my representation of him. But you're right about Elena - she is so unlike me and it's tricky to make her voice genuine, so it's nice to know it's working!
