The rest of the vacation was nice and relaxing. We took it easy on Wednesday and Thursday because we got sick. We did drive up to Mount Shasta which was spectacular. By Friday everybody has recovered and we went on a hike to McCloud Falls. Alex absolutely loved it. He walked for a good 1.5 miles happily, and he did not want to leave the waterfall

Oh those are gorgeous pictures!!! Did Alex enjoy the hike?

Alex loved the hike. We promised him a waterfall at the end and so he was very focused on finding it.

We really loved this area. We're definitely going back, perhaps even during winter because Alex loves the snow.

The hike took about 50 minutes one way. Alex actually kept up pretty well. Anyway, there's no reason to go fast anyway. The scenery was pretty and I'd miss a lot if I walked fast.

Yup, it was really fun. We're actually thinking of taking Alex on more hikes around here so he gets more exercise.

It was certainly a good trip even though we didn't do much and got sick. I love road trips. You get to see a lot more than flying into a place.
