Oh honey. Oh god. That hurt so, so much. I just. I have been avoiding S5 vids because I knew I would be in tears again. And I am. You captured every reason why that finale hurt so much. Dean has to live without Sam. "Not as We"... *sobs*

Absolutely beautifully edited. The song was so perfect and the gentle editing and movement was gorgeous. Awesome clips choices of grieving Dean.

But oh god. :(((((

Strangely I have absolutely no issue with Dean grieving the loss of Sam. It's what he should have done when Sam died the first time. Let him rest (especially as it was likely he was in heaven at that point). Taken the pain, the grief and then moved on. This time he is... but this time Sam's in hell. I just. *brain fry* Can't cope with that. :((

I was writing to Debbie and Callisto, and saying I have all this emotion right now about the finale. I loved the angst, but God it just hurt.

I'm not really ready to read or write fic (at least not anything with Sam and Dean). But I'd thought I could vid.

I started going through my music, looking for inspiration. I've always loved this song because I feel like you can actually hear the heartbreak in the song.

It seemed fitting for our poor Dean.

Wow, An, really nice. I like that shot towards the end (about 350) with Dean in the car alone, rain on the window. And how you used the day one words to show he's alone, all over again back to the first time we see Dean.

One other things, and this is going to sound rather silly, but thank you for doing this vid without the darned logos in the corner. I'm probably the only person who is easily distracted and credits over the frames and logos in the corner bother me. Silly, I know, but it makes your vid look so much better to me. Not that I don't watch vids with those on the frames, but I prefer them gone. Nice cutting and lyrics with this one.

Thanks so much! I was playing with saturation and levels this time out. On the shot you referred to, I bumped Saturation up to 200% (the max in Premiere) and took the Contrast to 165%. It does some fun things with interior lighting, but the exterior shots really varied. Some I liked better than others.

I wish I could take credit for the logo-free source material. All praise must go to giandujakiss. She provides logo-free downloads for SPN, Vampire Diaries and Leverage (I think that's all...). It's a godsend.

Speaking of GK, I had friends in last weekend and we were watching a con songvid DVD. The husby wasn't much interested and was playing some game on his laptop, but I said, watch this one. I showed him her vid, Zombie Jamboree, which is such a hoot. He loved it. I'm not on her LJ so when you speak to her, tell her thanks!

If you look back on some of my earlier journal entries, you'll see me complaining about crying while working on this silly thing. I think I sobbed my way through the project.
