I owe half the known world email. I haven't even looked in my inbox since Wednesday (I think...). At that point, I'd had close to 300 emails to read. So sorry. It's mid-terms, and I'm barely keeping my head above water.
My god I love this vid. Seriously. It's sheer perfection, goofy fun and a bit of angst in one tasty, perfectly edited package. (I also really really would like the time to go watch all of VM again. Many many times, preferably.)
BTW, I sent one of those 300 messages begging you pathetically for help with a story that has just stalled out. No pressure or anything, I'm just sayin' *g*
Yay! I'm so glad you liked it. It came together so quickly that I was a bit fearful. Apparently, at some point, I bought into the whole notion of suffering for your art. ;-)
Congrats on the vid wins!!! Wow - that's wonderful. And I know nothing about this show, but the way you described it, it sounds as if I would love it. And your vid is a joy to watch, my dear. I watched it twice and just loved the way you put it all together, it drew me right in.
Where are you getting these marvelous icons!? I saw your italized kitty and began giggling like a loon. :-)
Thank you, hon! I'm glad you liked it. I've gotten virtually no response from the VM fan community. I don't know if no one has seen it (it's posted on a VM vid LJ community, as well as You Tube), or if they've seen it and aren't very impressed. But I'm happy with how it turned out.
I really do think you might enjoy VM. When you come next summer (regardless of where I live--if I move to Baltimore, I'd actually be closer to the con), I'll pop the season one DVDs into the player, and we'll see what you think.
The show is so smart and so well acted. The dialogue is laugh out loud funny, yet some pretty serious stuff happens. It's utterly addictive. And Kristen Bell and Jason Dohring are magic together. They play two very damaged people, who are utterly perfect together, if they can just keep from screwing things up.

The brilliant eternalphoenix_ just made them and posted them up today - I couldn't help myself and took a whole bunch. Go check them out, hon. As a kitty gal, you will love them. Here, have another one.
So I only started watching Veronica Mars a few months ago - and then went through all 3 seasons in a few weeks! I cast about for vids, and found your vid 'The Golden State' via a rec somewhere.
This really is brilliant. I like that you haven't taken a chronological approach, but instead contrast the good and bad spells throughout Logan & Veronica's epic love story. And the rapid-fire flashes of all the crazy stuff that's happened in their world really work, I think.
I'm currently working on a Veronica Mars crossover fic (with Leverage) and just rewatched your vid for inspiration, then realised I hadn't left feedback! So here, belatedly, is my appreciative comment :)
Thank you so much! I can't tell you how it means to me that you've commented on this vid. This is the only thing I'd ever done for VM and have absolutely no presence in the fandom, so when this was posted, it sank like a rock. A few of my pals from other fandoms commented, but it's been up on You Tube for nearly two years and only has about 300 hits. I'm thrilled you like it. Good luck on your story. The world needs more Veronica and Logan. It'll be interesting to see how they hold up against the gang from Leverage.
Before you get your hopes up, Logan doesn't appear in the story (it's focused on Mac's friendship with Hardison). I considered putting him in at the end, when Hardison meets Veronica, but I couldn't make it work!

The problem is...they can't. ;-)
