I see the word turnip being bandied about plenty of times and now my curiosity has grown... why are turnips so important? :P.

It started with the turnip golem and that is ALL Anc's fault. Then it moved onto world domination and zombies interacting with turnips and that was partially Anc, partially me, and others ran with it. The turnip options in polls was all me.
