Ok, so, leaving for minnesota today. After about 24 hours of travel, I'll get to BSU for orientation, then leave for camp the following weekend.

Who knows that U2 song that mentions people? I dont know the name or any of the lyrics but I miss it and want it. The people were victims of some bombing or something and he mentions them by first name. Anyone?

I plugged an iron into a power-strip thus causing the power-strip's electrical cord to burn and smoke. Yay!
Also, I dont know how to say things in english anymore. I mean, less than I did 3 weeks ago. Yeah.

Haha, finally got into the IB website. I did best in French, Spanish and Math and worst in Physics and History.

So, yeah, what's also awesome is that I basically cant get credit for anything.

The dream of the hexachampionship is deferred to 2010. What a national embarassment.

Our only hope is that the Brazilian masses will become disillusioned with the state of affairs because of the world cup loss and thus replace the current government in the upcoming presidential elections.

God, I hate when World Cup matches are decided through penalties. Argentina should have won. ARGH.

As for other stuff:
- Email can actually be a decent means of communication (sometimes better than AIM)
- I miss people
- I'm scared of winter in Boston
- I bought shoes
- I could see teaching in my future
- The Odyssey is damn good

I had the greatest email exchange with one of my 4 academic advisors. I seriously cannot contain how much I am in love with this guy. He's the director of the honors program and he is INCREDIBLE. My stay in brazil has been going better than expected. It gets a bit boring sometimes and too hectic some other times but I think the fact that wireless internet has just been installed will take care of that ( Read more... )

BC makes it pretty much impossible to have classes on any less than 5 days a week. Too bad. I'm done at 10h50 on monday though, so I guess that's pretty sweet ( Read more... )
