The wrong decision, part two, VI

Feb 10, 2014 21:43

Ianto's night was restless. He got up long before the sun come out and started playing on his piano since three o’ clock in the morning. He didn't know what kept him awake all night, and as his fingers ran fast along the keys he thought of the dreams that had haunted his sleep; Werth, and Jack were the major stars in them, and without being ( Read more... )

I thought they couldn't get wronged, but they did. Ianto is going to be furious when he finds out.

So far it was Ianto & Jack who chose wrongly. It was time for Werth to do something wrong.

But, will Ianto know? :) Let's face it, the truth always comes to light!

Thank you for commenting. It means a lot!

wow I didn't think that Werth was going to follow with the lie. luckily Jack discovered the truth but he was also ready to sign the adoption papers, their explanation is logical BUT Ianto is the one who had to decided.
looking forward to knowing what the real father would say.

sorry to see you are sick, hope it is nothing serious.

Sorry, but I'm not buying Werth's selfless, doing-what's-best-for-Ianto act. If he really was thinking of Ianto, he would never have even thought of stealing his child from him, which is exactly what he's doing and I expect exactly the way Ianto will see it as well. If he wants to lose his brother, he's definitely going about it the right way. And what the hell is Jack thinking of going along with it? Wanting to have a part of Ianto since he can't have Ianto? Whose fault is that, Jack? And do they really believe Ianto will forgive either of them when he finds out, which you know he will. They'll both lose Ianto and have only themselves to blame.

Werth is not thinking clearly. AT ALL! And he cannot 100% selfless when he wanted a child, and that child came to him as a gift from the skies. Werth think of his baby brother as he was before meeting Jack, before sacrificing himself to get away. He doesn't know that Ianto wouldn't had left if he hadn't married Jack. And even though, he thinks he's doing the best thing for his brother, he has actually stolen everything Ianto wants right now.

Ah Jack! Jack will keep doing one stupid thing after the other. :)

You're right of couse in everything you said. Just keep in mind that Werth has no way of knowing that. His mistake is not telling Ianto about Phillip; but he thinks he's saving him from a child who would make him give up his dreams. The fact that Phillip is Werth's dream notwithstanding.

I really love your comment!! :)

Everyone in my family had the cold, and now it's my time. Hopefully it will pass soon. :)
My word file of the story is titles "tragic symphony" which was the original title I had given it in which the end inside my head was... well, tragic. But then I changed my mind. Remember if Werth was always good there would have been no drama.

But he does think he's doing the right thing.

And Jack? Jack lost Ianto and now it's too late to get him. We have a saying in Greece going somewhat like this "the drowner grabs his hair to save himself" which isn't helpful, is it? :)

Yes, Werth is wrong. Really, really wrong. Sad thing is he thinks he's doing the right thing.

Thank you!

Great to see next chapters of this story! And not so smart of them to take this lie any further. Don't want to think about poor Ianto and what he will do when he finds out that such an important decision has been taken out of his hands but his selfish brother. I quite liked Werth, but now not so much anymore. And Jack is a fool.... Can't wait for the next update and I hope you will feel better soon! Thanks for writing and sharing :) xx

Jack is indeed a fool. And... he'll do more stupid things.
Truth always comes to light and people get hurt by lies. Ianto, Phillip are two victims here, and regardless of reasons Werth dragged Jack with him in a net of lies.

Will they be able to get out of it untouched? Doubtful, isn't it?

Thank you for reading (after all this time) & commenting!

I am so happy to see you return to this story... & now so many interesting changes and developments! I have to agree with others... Werth is not being selfless at all, or thinking of Ianto here... so many decisions made... & none of them are wrong... but they're either selfish choices or choices made out of fear of admitting the truth... that you want someone, or something else... how many of us live our lives this way. However we fool ourselves into thinking it's the best or only choice at the time, instead of being honest... I am very interested to see what happens next. Thank you for coming back to this fic! You write such interesting stories and great characters!

Thank you so much. I really appreciate that there's still interest for this story after all this time.

You're right. When the need for a child begins anything else stops. Werth's love for Ianto is a given, but he's blindsighted by what he wants and what he thinks Ianto needs and because they two agree he thinks he's doing the right thing. Which makes someone wonder, if he's so certain why didn't he ask Ianto to adopt Phillip?

Hope you'll enjoy the rest of it too. :)

Thank you again!
