New Years Gaming Resolutions

Not really. It's a to-do/wish-list:

  1. Play the RPGs I have with me in LA that I have yet to play.
  2. Do something with A Certain Kind of Decision.
  3. Learn, play and teach Race for the Galaxy.
  4. Prevent a US-based "Shelf of Shame" by painting all the figures I have here.
  5. Attend at least one LA con. I don't think any other domestic cons are achievable this year ( Read more... )

strategicon, wargaming, a certain kind of decision, resolutions, bod, conventions, rpg, boardgames

It might be a pipe dream, but it would be nice to do some sort of systematic review and collation of campaign ideas

What - like you come up with a campaign concept and then post a blurb about whether your idea is good? :) Can't quite imagine what you're talking about...

Gametime could certainly use the traffic. I can hook you up with posting access if this pipe dream starts to look less dreamy.

More like going through my books and writing up a couple of campaign ideas for each. I was thinking for my own use rather than posting it, but that's not a bad idea. I'll see how it goes and if it looks less dreamy, we'll see.

Has Gametime considered hooking up with one of the RPG blog aggregators, like RPG Bloggers Network or Planet Story Games?

Lol. Sure. My experience is often that the brainstorming campaign thing is easier with a couple of other people involved. One relatively easy option would be to pick a game, e-mail a few greybeards or firebrands and have a multi-party online chat. Get an editor to clean up the worst digressions and viola.

Of course, that's a totally different beast from what you're contemplating, but it could be interesting.

Not as far as I'm aware. In fact, I was not aware that such places existed. I'm a hermit.
