so, assuming that the power company is running on time, they've shut off our power in my building as of 1 minute ago. Thankfully, however, I am safely ensconced at Tego's, and so I have internet and light and everything is lovely. *grateful forever ( Read more... )

Also grateful that Elissa's got the cat in with her, because honestly, I was a little alarmed at the possibility of waking up to a faceful of cat. I've never had one, but I hear that this is a thing that they do.

well, maybe. It really depends on he cat, I have one who sits on me, the rest of them are more interested in food and they know I'm not the one with the canopener.

she did get up onto the bed (and me, but not my face! win!) after she got out of Elissa's room, but I shooed her off and went back to sleep for 40 minutes. When i got up again, she was on the bed again, but curled up at the bottom and not on my body, so at the very least, clever kitty! I was quite impressed.
