i admit i started watching for LL Cool J because the hilarity of LL Cool J as a NCIS agent is just too much to resist because....he's LL Cool J. He can't be anyone else! He's LL Cool J! but now i just enjoy it for itself XD of course, I still love the original to bits and pieces. 'ziny' also kind of sucks as a namesquish :\ but tiva is. yeah, just no.

lol yeah, idk what their justification of the setting is. i just roll with it XD they do have a nifty computer lab that is totally out of place in a converted hacienda!
one of the really major draws about the original for me, though, is all the ways you can tell they're not actually in DC, no matter how much they claim to be. that and all the ways they chance or combine neighbourhood names just slightly (probably on purpose, but it amuses me).
