FFVII/JE: Part 3

Title: Nothing Good Will Come of This
Pairings: Zack x Aerith, Cloud x Tifa
Summary: FFVII/JE crossover fic: Part 1. For anamuan. --All it took was a haircut and some baggy clothes. No one would be able to tell they weren't the average "pretty boys."
Rating/Warnings: PG/K+. Lots of cross dressing and possible mentions of slash later. Probably.
Notes: Meh. I should have updated sooner, but this chapter was a pain to write. This one of those filler/lead-into chapters, so I introduced some new characters. Maybe I'll actually get into some kind of plot next time?

He was glaring at them from the other side of the room. Aerith sat on her hands and sent nervous glances at the blonde in the corner. Tifa sat next to her, fidgeting on the couch with a luminescent blush on her cheeks.

Cloud had walked into the room a few minutes ago, while the two girls were in the middle of their tickle fight. He had then proceeded to clear his throat loudly and give them a pointed look.

Now he was leaning against the far wall and glaring at them. The younger brunette next to her heaved a sigh before tilting her head to the elder's ear.

"Why is he giving us that look?" Tifa whispered, eyeing the man in confusion.

"It may have been the posistion he found us in." Aerith responded just as softly.

The memory caused the other to start chuckling under her breath, and, before long, both were falling over each other again. The blonde in the corner coughed, but it only caused them to laugh harder.

"I knew I could count on you to make 'em comfortable, Cloud."

Whether it was Zack's sudden presence in the rec room instantly sobered the atmosphere or the sight of the most famous group in SE in one room, Aerith wasn't sure. All she knew at the moment was that she was glad she was sitting down.

Zack clapped his hands together, his trademark smile plastered on his face. "All right! Listen up!" he announced, as though he was talking to a large crowd instead of a handfull of people. "Ladies," he called and bowed to the only unoccupied space in the room. "Gentlemen," was next as he nodded to the three men behind him.

"And men who look like ladies!" he finished with wide hand motion, before bowing to Cloud and winking at the two on the couch. The blonde just glared at his friend from his place in the corner.

"First up! The one, the only: Angeal Hewley!" The black-haired man pointed to another, slightly taller dark-haried man, who simply raised a hand and nodded at the introduction.

"Next!" Zack yelled, "Genesis Rhapsodos!" He motioned to the red-hed in the room, who bowed extravagantly.

"And last, but not least: Sephiroth!" The man in question didn't do anything to acknowledge his name aside from his eyebrowing twitching in an irritated manner.

Aerith broke into an exagerrated applause, before elbowing Tifa in the side to make her do the same. Zack, meanwhile, gave a low bow, reached for Cloud, and pushed him into a bow as well.

Yuffie wanted to squeal. She was peeking out a small crack in a closet in the ShinRa Entertainment building at what she was sure the fans would eat up. It was, after all, as the SE fanbase's premier blogger, her job to keep the fans updated.

The older members of SOLDIER had cleared out of the rec room only a few minutes ago, and the two seniors were left talking to two of the most feminine men she had ever seen. The four were talking and laughing, Zack and the lighter brunette especially. The other two sat with smaller smiles, occaisionally joining in the ongoing conversation.

Pulling out her trusted notedpad, Yuffie jotted down an overly dramatized account of the current events, before whipping out her camera and snapping a few low-quality pictures. It didn't really matter how the photos came out, anyway; her loyal readers would pour over them regardless.

The short girl sat in the closet patiently until the idols' conversation was over and the halls were empty. She pushed the door slowly and stuck her head outside to make sure no one was coming. Sure her get-away would be unseen, she bolted as fast as she could.

Tifa sat refreshed at her laptop. She had recently woken up from her nap and had taken the liberty to wash the day's grime from her body. More importantly, however, was that her chest was finally free from the contraption Aerith gave her to hide her breasts.

She'd already checked her email and the company announcements and was about to turn her computer off, when Aerith grabbed the machine.

"Let me check something first," the older girl said simply, waving off Tifa's indignant look. She started tapping at the keyboard frantically and unexpectedly let out a squeal.

The younger of the two didn't even get a chance to speak before the laptop was thrust in her face. Tifa felt her jaw drop.

The webpage was a blog Aerith always followed to keep up with the latest SE news, and the most recent article wasn't anything different from what the author usally wrote. Rather, their shock came from the two familiar faces shown in the article's picture.

Tifa could honestly say she never expected to see herself on such a high-profile blog so quickly, and she wasn't sure if she was glad that it happened. Stealing a glance Aerith's confused face from the corner of her eye, she couldn't help but wonder if being famous was worth it.
