Because it requires technique, skill, and precision so that you don't drown, but all that matters in the end to win is that you're a little more precise and skilled than all the other people.

I've gotten over the excitement for my own birthdays, sadly. Nothing ever really feels different. I turn twenty in two weeks, but I have the feeling it'll be the same as when I turned nineteen. But then again, as you said, birthdays are good because it means we are still alive. :)
