23's not so bad. It's still pretty young and you've actually achieved things so it's all positive, really. I was going to say that I didn't realise you were so young but it's not like you're actually much younger than me, so.
i just don't like the idea of having to face responsibility.
...so, does that mean i act maturely on occassion? most of the time i feel very young, and that i'm going to look back on the things i say here and shake my old grey head in amusement.
That was actually my moose that said that. That was during the attempted coup d'ordinateur.
all this swimming may convince me to stop trying to write I don't know what this means, but it bodes ill for those of us who wish to continue seeing your writing. The solution is clearly to stop swimming.
your moose is more brilliant than i knew. though it does explain a bit. I was kind of disoriented at first because normally you ask me why i'm making such unhappy faces at you.
swimming=betaing. Can you, without outside influence, tell me why? you'll win something~
YOU DID. BUT YOU DIDN'T TELL ME HOW AMAZING.
peppermint when i'm too lazy to go back and fix typos.
He asked me what the heck that was. And I was like "it's an unhappy face, doncha know!" then he came up with that comment. He really is quite brilliant; I just try to keep up.
Swimming = betaing. Hmmmmmm. I'm hoping that even if I don't come up with the real reason, I'll win because of the awesomeness of extended metaphor. Because it requires technique, skill, and precision so that you don't drown, but all that matters in the end to win is that you're a little more precise and skilled than all the other people.
I DIDN'T WANT TO SPOIL IT FOR WHEN YOU FINALLY GOT AROUND TO READING IT!
I figured that as soon as I posted, but I suppose it could have been misspelled pearmint. Because I can totally see them coming up with a combo like that.
That's good. I was just making sure we were clear about things.
maybe it's ok that i've disowned that other thing, since moose is also so brilliant. I'm just not used to the little ones being allowed to be clever yet. (i am giggling over the use of 'little' to describe your brother)
No, sorry. No prize. Good try, though. Also, for your metaphor, precision and skill are nice, but ultimately with swimming it comes down to speed, and we both know i never have that.
JKL;AF;JKLDFA;LKJFALKJFA;LKJFA BUT I WOULD HAVE MADE PEYTON WAIT TO SWIM UNTIL AFTER I'D READ IT.
I've gotten over the excitement for my own birthdays, sadly. Nothing ever really feels different. I turn twenty in two weeks, but I have the feeling it'll be the same as when I turned nineteen. But then again, as you said, birthdays are good because it means we are still alive. :)
they're not exactly exciting. this one's just a little emo, because it's 23, and in my head, it's definitely after college and when i have to start being all grown up. we're actually not v big about birthdays and things in my house, so yeah.
