this is really cool yo. i. don't even know how to describe it. i don't know enough about dance, but. it's amazing. their movements are so clean

Voila, fic. And yes, it took me this long just to write this much.mycroftnextApril 24 2008, 06:38:37 UTC
It's kind of strange writing fic in front of The Muppet Show, especially one featuring Elton John and his collection of costumes that would make JE costumers weep. Just felt you ought to know.
Countdown was a logistic nightmare. Countdown backstage was enough to send even the most well-adjusted screaming into the night. The halls were treacherous with costumes, musical instruments, massive electronic equipment, and even the occasional junior flying out of doorways without notice. Not to mention the pins and scissors, feathers and glitter constantly being pushed onto your body for no apparent reason. Yamapi assumed that it was for costuming purposes, but he could never be sure

"You know. The stupid costumes. The quick-changes into even more ridiculous costumes. All the people we're supposed to know, and then all the people who hate the people we're supposed to know. All the personality drama. Just, the bother of it all

first and foremost. You. You got Yamapi and Koki into a supply closet backstage for reasons that had absolutely nothing to do with sex. This may be a fandom first.
Not to mention the pins and scissors, feathers and glitter constantly being pushed onto your body for no apparent reason. Yamapi assumed that it was for costuming purposes, but he could never be sure. XDDDDDDDDD sometimes costume lackeys people do it just to get back at them for the boys giving them flack about costumes they didn't design. I also love the idea of juniors flying out of doorways without notice. of course, in my head, they have wings (and attack motherbird defending territory style), but. it's still a funny mental image.
Do Not Disturb...who the hell would ever think that makes sense backstage? not just Pi, but. people would totally open the door just to see what was inside

I was confused why this comment moved. It's a good thing you explained.mycroftnextApril 25 2008, 00:09:23 UTC
Awww, you're so nice to me. I'm really really really really glad you liked it because by the time I was done I had no idea if anything was working or not.
Bringing a little good clean fun into fandom, one laboriously produced fic at a time. And if that's not a cumbersome motto, I don't know what is.
sometimes costume lackeys people do it just to get back at them for the boys giving them flack about costumes they didn't designExactly. I would think that after a while it would all start to blur for him, and the costume designers would be like, "Hey, he looks dazed, let's see what we can put on him for laughs!" They can sense it, like lions with wounded gazelles
( ... )
that it couldn't end up in the same spot it was before but then i realized how stupid that was. so i stopped XD.
And if that's not a cumbersome motto, I don't know what is. It also acronyms badly: BaLGCFiF OLPFaaT.
They can sense it, like lions with wounded gazelles. AND THE MONKEYS INSTINCTIVELY KNOW: WE CAN WIN!! ...sorry. that reference was not directed at you.
............. ................ ................... takki. dressed as a motherly. bald. eagle. XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD dear lord, that mental images. he's got loony-tunes style cartoon wings, and a babushka on his bleached hair.
it doesn't make a lot of sense. But then, neither does Countdown. i can't argue with logic like that.
you have to use the end in shiritori yo. it's in the name. Shiri=end (ok, well, butt), tori=take.
I DON'T SEE IT UP THERE YET. I AM WAITING YO.
there is always the 'they happen to be together heaven only knows why,' you know. they have a term for that. it's called 'deus ex machina,' and it's a wonderful thing.
You're right. The lack of good acronym is the real deal-breaker here.
*blink blink* Um...ok? You know you're going to have to explain that to me.
he's got loony-tunes style cartoon wings, and a babushka on his bleached hair. HAHAHAHA! This is the beginning of crackfic if I ever saw it!
i can't argue with logic like that. *feels pleased with self* :D
Oh fine. Exploit my lack of knowledge about Japanese. I guess now it'll just have to be spinoff fic that you write. There. Happy now?
But it hasn't been edited yet! And besides, it's just a tiny drabble. I feel like it needs a partner to go up. So now you definitely have to write that spinoff.
they have a term for that. it's called 'deus ex machina,' That is not the term for it! Deus ex machina is when a god drops in at the end of a play and fixes all the problems. The method you're espousing is called dramatic license or convenience. And yeah, it's a wonderful thing, but I still seem to be incapable of doing it.
I actually just sent them the submission and I forwarded it to you too. Check your main gmail account.
Amen.
I think you've told me about this before, but I'm glad you re-explained it, because I wouldn't have remembered on name alone. hahahahaha I love it! I'm going to have to use that in a conversation someday (whereby having to explain it to Moose, who will then use it back on me).
Speaking of Moose, he was talking with a Chinese friend of his, and he (Moose) ended up using/explaining the word yakuza to his friend. The friend then looked at him and said, "How do you know this when I don't even know this! I'm the Asian here!" I told Moose that it's not like he's Japanese or anything. Allowances can be made. But it was amusing nonetheless

yes. the phrase itself is 'the monkeys instinctively know' and then you can taylor your response (these are fierce beasts vs we can win!) based upon the situation.
For me, it's a mental image. a stillframe. no fic. to clarify, if you pull commentfic, it has to have been reposted in an entry (and not a comment to an entry), or i had to have linked to the original comment in an entry in anamuan. And then anything posted to hizashikage is game.
...it is not tiny. ANYTHING THAT BREAKS A COMMENTBOX IS full length.
I can't see anything more than your I was going off of stuff on hizashikage, because I'm really bad about keeping track of anything else in comments. *needs to learn how to use the memory function*
It is tiny!! I just checked, and for the first time, I have written something under 1000 words! It's 978, so it needs a friend that you write for it.
I can't see anything more than your i feel this is not a complete thought?
lol. the point was that comments were not allowed.
no. see, that is called 'progress' not 'tiny.' 978 is longer than most everything I've ever written ever. And only 22 words short of most challenge fic entries. it's a full fic yo. it can make friends with the other things on the journal.
