actually, that is moderately helpful ... I've talked to doctors about them and they've not been able to tell me anything useful. I've therefore assumed they were just stupid. I haven't talked to many people that actually suffer the damn things, too.

It's not going to be easy sleeping, jacked up on this caffeine, but we'll give it a shot. *sigh* Maybe I'll try some meditation as well, as that usually lowers my BP.

What does the "CD (CBI)" after your name stand for?

ooh, that's a good idea. What variables should we track? Do you have a google account? If so, I can create a google spreadsheet and share it with you so that we can both modify it.

If yould like to contact me off-list (and privately) then please feel free to avail yourself of the email address in my userinfo.

since I've started drinking coffee this evening, I've noticed that the icepicks are lessening in intensity and are further apart. I'm still feeling the potential in that area of my head, though.

A Doula is like an assistant to a midwife, right? I was so into that for a while -- 8-9 years ago, before the birth of my daughter, when we were going to classes and such with a very cool midwife. The whole experience was wonderful.

Ow. I came across a description of these the other day when I was looking up some info on migraines. You poor guy. :( I Googled around a bit, looks like indomethican's pretty consistently recommended med-wise. The only non-med info I consistently found was conscious relaxation and breathing exercises.

Good luck. *hug*

Conscious relaxation is great & useful -- helpful, even -- but hard to do if there's a gnome with an awl-pike stabbing you in the head every thirty seconds.

Thank you very much for the links.

thanks :) They seem to be easing up a bit -- rhianwyn tells me that she remembers me getting bouts of these twice a year, lasting for about a week each time. Go me!
