best 'o' luck with the new job. I bet it just takes a while for your manager to warm up. Seriously - the ones you gotta watch out for are the extremely personal charming/slimey ones; they'll fuck you up.

The cold stand offish ones tend to be nice people who just don't all that well to others and may end up being a really good ally when they see you're dependable and a decent worker.
