"My lady?" Reza would've facedesked if one had been available then. "But you were." She decided to continue, "Shall I get you a nurse?"

"And now I'm awake. You should be happy, in your own way. And..." he stopped speaking, because he really was surprised. She could've had freedom, the ability to use her powers to their full extent, but she chose to stay with him.

Not unless she was planning on sticking a needle full of air into his jugular vein to finish him off.

"I'm surprised, actually. That you're here."

"Why should I be happy?" she scoffed and folded her arms in a rather sulky gesture. His surprised, surprised her a little but it was his next words that actually caused her a little bit of pain.

Just a little and it showed for a moment on her eyes before she slamned it shut with anger. "Boy, you really are an idiot."

"No, I'm trying to get my thoughts together and think sensibly." He grabbed her wrist with the hand closest to her. The general wasn't ready to let her go just yet.

"Why did you side with me? What happened to grasping that freedom you crave so much?"

He grabbed her wrist stopping her and then Reza was silent, just half-scowling at him. A smartass remark about how he couldn't think properly anyway was on the tip of her tongue.

Why did she side with him?

"Eh." She shrugged.

"Eh"? That's all? He frowned and then closed his eyes, ow. Frowning hurt, and his back was starting to get to him.

"I'm only letting you go so these doctors can run whatever they need to so they can leave me alone." He let her wrist go, "But I want to see you again soon, understood?"

"What sort of answer you want?" She snapped at him pulling her hand back. Seriously what did he want her to say? She hated being provoked into things but Reza was never good at resisting provocation.

"Would you rather I betray you? Coz I assure you, it can be arranged."

"As I said, I'm surprised. I want to know why you're still here." The last thing he-- they needed was a shouting match, and her kicked out from his room.

"I don't doubt it, but I also doubt that you would have waited this long and waited for me to provoke you to betray me."
