...Part of her sort of knew, the other part of her, wasn't sure at all. And sure, she was not the most moral of people but...

Kamil was...

Reza paused, deliberating her words, "The only thing I see wrong here is your surprise."

"I think I'm allowed to be surprised--" he cut off as he growled in pain, cursing in Italian. The pain in his back had increased sharply, so maybe sitting up would do the trick.

Fuck, why was she so complicated? Why was everything so complicated?!

"Sure you're surprised because you're an idiot." She replied, despite his grow and curse in Italian. He could be such a fucking idiot at time.

And a pain in the ass, "Do you-" she cut herself off, instead placing her hand on his shoulder to maybe try to pull him up and help him.

He was going to snap, but he instead bit his tongue sharply. Not now, not here.

The dark-haired man used the railing on the other side to make himself sit up, ignoring the pain coming from his back. "Thanks," he said.

Their little fights and spats were normal, Reza withdrew her hand and shrugged, brushing off the thanks. "Your surprise is insulting" And the more he said it the more she was insulted. Or was it hurt?

That he thought so little of her.

Well, whatever. Nothing new there.

"I'm sorry," he said, looking up at her. "It might not count for much to you, but I don't mean to insult you about this. I'm...glad you're still here."

Damnit, he felt like an asshole, doubting her like that. But knowing her personality, it was hard to keep that doubt down.

Yeah, sure. "I'm sure, you're glad for each and every Knight you still have." Reluctantly, she sat down on the chair, swinging her legs a little. "I don't see why you have to be so surprised and be such an asshole about it."

"I didn't betray you, I have no plans to, that's all." She gave him a sardonic smile, "But it's nice to know what you really think of me. It really is."

"That too, but I do consider you as a close friend, Reza."

"Thank you," he gave her a smile. "But what makes you think that's what I think of you completely? There's more you're not seeing."

Wow, he realized he was very talkative. Maybe being out for two and a half weeks did that to someone.

Reza paused, easing a little at his words, "Well, I wouldn't go as far as saying close friends." She replied with a shrug. This was getting to be a very awkward talk, very awkward.

"You thought I would just back stab you, try to kill you and then run off to do whatever I wanted. That doesn't sound like a very worthy person."

"Not that I care."

"But you proved yourself to be more than that," he looked up and through the doorway, seeing several officials and two medical personnel right outside. Well, shit.

"Really now?"
