Hello and welcome to anakin_icontest's first
TURBO-RUMBLE CHALLENGE!
Traditionally in September we were holding the 20in20 contest, but this time it was decided to try something different. This challenge will be based on the TURBO-RUMBLE format, which rules were formulated in our affiliate, turbo_rumble, one of the most unique and creative art communities in LJ.
Below you will find more information and will be able to sign up for participation.
» During this challenge each participant gets 1 month (September 22th - October 22th (extended until October 30th) to create 12 icons based on the 12 themes, split in two categories: 6 themes focusing on the technical aspects of the icon-making (e.g.: Close crop) and 6 themes being interpretive (e.g.: Faith).
THEMES AND SUBMISSIONS' POST
» Participants will reply to this post with the complete sets of 12 icons. All entries will remain screened until the end of the challenge.
» You can sign-up for participation at any time until midnight of October 30th.
» The voting for the first theme will be posted on October 31st. Every other day there will be the voting for the next theme.
The voting for each theme will include the following nominations and points for the winners:
FIRST PLACE - 5 points
SECOND PLACE - 4 points
THIRD PLACE - 3 points
MOST CREATIVE - 2 points
MOD'S CHOICE - 1 point
Every participant will also get 1 additional point if they voted.
During the voting you will be asked to reason your choice of the TOP 3 icons and provide constructive criticism for any other 2 icons in the voting table. You are free to leave feedback for more icons than required if you like to.
» Every participant can get 1 additional point for PROMOTING the challenge throughout LiveJournal and 1 additional point for creating PROMOTIONAL BANNER for this. All banners should have the text "ANAKIN_ICONTEST TURBO-RUMBLE" on them and will be added to this post with credits.

» During the challenge you will be able to keep track of your points in the separate post or spreadsheet.
Comments given to the icons will be sent individually in the private message to every participant after each voting.
» In the end of the challenge, when the voting for all themes will be completed, participants with the highest amount of points will be awarded the FIRST, SECOND AND THIRD PLACES.
There will also be the 'MOST VALUABLE PLAYER' AWARD given to the member of the community, not necessarily the participant of the challenge, who will take time to vote in the most posts and provide detailed and helpful constructive feedback for our entries.
