Whilst watching the Food Network this morning, I finally figured out why I'm so enamored of that Geico gecko....

He's a little, tiny, bug-eyed, green version of Jaime Oliver.

You see Jaime Oliver, I see Spike from Buffy/Angel, both cute little Cockney gits. No wonder we like the Gecko!

It was so funny this morning! I noticed that they have very much the same kind of walk and everything, and that breathless little "oooh" when they find something wonderful about whatever respective something they're talking about...

I was listening this morning and thinking, "Now, where have I heard that recently?" and suddenly the gecko was before my mind's eye.

I can see Spike as well--and yes, not bad at all!
