We've been very bad this evening...

We felt like having pizza, but I really wasn't interested in take-out, because, while it's convenient for some nice individual to bring your pizza to the door, it's damned expensive, and, for me, there's always something that's not on the pizza that I think would be pretty good ( Read more... )

I think you made the right choice.

Is it chilly down there?

It's been downright COLD last night and tonight.

Thank you. I love pizza, but it *is* expensive, and commercial, is not exactly healthy for me. I have made it from scratch (while the rocks were still cooling, and I was college), but not in recent years.(like the last 35). We may try it sometime soon.

When I come visit you, I'm bringing my pizza stone and making a garden ranch pizza. :D

Thanks to my friend, I have grocceries tonight, so we had sausages, pasta and fresh milk

Some alternates for your consideration:

Fillo dough as your crust
Red onions and gorgonzola as your toppings (no sauce, just a brush of olive oil)
Making your own crust, freezing and using when you want (if you haven't baked bread, it's a habit I *highly* recommend starting about now and perfecting throughout the autumn and winter until it's too hot to bake and starting again next autumn)
Use barbeque sauce as the sauce and top with chicken and shredded Pepper Jack and Sharp Cheddar
You might also want to consider pulling the pizza off of the tray and placing it on the shelf for about 5 minutes to crisp the bottom up.
