You are awesome. Reasons:

1. Real Genius.

2. Freaky rats.

3. You mention Risk, omg.

4. Right now, it's all in the Middle East, China, Japan, rippling out in a wave of death - it will come like a storm. - I love this. I love that it's not exactly clear what 'it' is and what kind of death it will mean, and that it's nevertheless relentless and horrifying.

5. cold, icy fear when Chris says, softly, hopelessly, "Mitch... you're such a romantic." - it's so, so perfect that Mitch thinks there's something to be done, and that Chris knows that things have progressed too far for that.

6. I really, really enjoy the theme of being controlled in this too - and it's so possible. For all of Chris's apparent 'street-wise' edge, I think he could get distracted from seeing the big picture, and Mitch, I think, likes to see the best in people. And I love that they're happy and that kept them distrated too - it makes the inevitability of it all even more gut-wrenching.

THANK YOU :D

Nice work! Seeing the glib and unruffled Chris devastated like that is startling and disturbing, which is great. And I rather like the inclusion of the rat with the robotic eye.
