I liked the letter, I don't think I've ever read a letter someone has written from Jayne's mothers point of view without it making her sound very un-educated. What I gathered from the letter in 'The Message' was that his mother was from the rim (I would assume, since he is) but not stupid.
A lot of people have a tendency to intentionally fill it with spelling errors or really bad grammar: I don't mean just bad grammar which is normal because not all of the characters in that Verse' speak quite as pretty as Inara and Simon, but bad grammar like Jayne wouldn't be able to understand what the hell they were saying. Hee.
Now as soon as the chapter is posted I intend to go read and comment because you're awesome and I hope you are feeling better. =D
I know! I mean, we got to hear her; she might have written simply, but I agree - some people over-do it. I was fairly happy with how I got her voice. The hardest part for me was Jayne reading it! Heh.
Yay - I am going to post the chapter like... now, actually. And then put a link at Rayne Shippers as soon as I get it prettied up. :P Oh, I hope it's good; I've been working on it for so long!
