It’s a rare and magical occasion, a seemingly impossible confluence of a sunny Cardiff and an almost suspiciously quiet Rift. The amazement had affected Jack so profoundly that he’d given the entire team the day off. Owen, Gwen and Toshiko had wondered, briefly, if their boss was feeling all right, but understandably hadn’t hung around long enough ( Read more... )

Thanks! I know picture-perfect happiness is probably unrealistic, but I absolutely believe there can be perfect moments.

I know, it's weird. I'm a cynic and a pessimist ... so where the hell is all this fluffy fluff coming from?

It's my dark side ;)

Thanks for the lovely comment, I'm beaming!

Very sweet. I like it when they get to be out in the sunshine (so rare).

The sunshine seems to bring out all our best sides. I think taking them out of the dark, cold underground world makes the fluffiness seem less out of place!

Oh, no. Sorry you're having a bad weekend. What's with the boat?

BTW, I also teach, and your "no money" disclaimers always make me smile :)

The boat is someone's idea of a "weekend away" ****glares pointedly across the deck and the human fishing from said boat****

My idea of a weekend away includes beds with more than two feet of clearance and room service.

Apparently, I need to be more clear in my instructions.

Nice to see a fellow teacher!
