I have been rather quiet on the journal lately, other than to update everyone when my son was recovering from surgery and in the hospital

Actually, I am rather enjoying it. That's what I meant by that line that I seem to disagree. It seems to me, from the review I've read the last couple of weeks, that I might be in a minority there. But I'm ok with that. I accept that everyone has their different views and I completely respect that. I would just hate to lose any friends because I like it while they find so many things they don't like about it.
BTW, did you ever find that video that your computer lost of Andrew's first food?
I (obviously) haven't been on LJ in awhile so I'm not really aware of what most people think of the new season but I personally am loving it so far. I thought I'd hate Eleven, but I don't. I actually enjoy him a lot. And Amy? Amy is made win.
I think everything feels so young and fresh and light this season, and it's nice to have that. Don't get me wrong, I love Ten--he's my Doctor, will always be--but I'm so glad that a lot of that dark, moodiness is gone for the most part (yeah, some of it's still there, but Eleven is a lot lighter to me).
I agree. I love Ten, and Nine, but I'm really enjoying Eleven. ANd I might be one of the only ones, but I love the new Tardis interior. I think it's kind of cool.
I actually don't dislike it, despite my reviews. It's that I was expecting to like it more and was expecting less repetition. And I want to like it more. I want to fall in love with the characters and so far that's only happened with Amy, but I do like Eleven. There's just not been enough character development for me to love him. I want to get so buried in the show that I forget I'm watching a show, like I used to do, but I don't. I have high hopes for the next episode, though. But if it disappoints me...oh, well. My f-list is pretty evenly split down the middle, but I dont care about that. As long as they still love Rose and the Doctor if they want to love Amy/Eleven that's fine with me.
Well, as you know, I'll always love the Doctor and Rose. One of my fears is that the fanfic will stop. But as long as there are still brilliant writers like you to write them, I'm not too worried about that. But I am enjoying the new season too. I'm still a little iffy about Amy. I do agree with one of your reviews that mentioned her saving the day so much. ANd while I know a lot of the time the companion is to serve the role of sort of stopping the Doctor from going too far, so far she's doing a lot of saving. But on the other hand, I find her rather likable. I guess we'll see as the season progresses. I am looking forward to the next episode, because of the Angels, while dreading it because of River, I didn't really like her the first time around. But maybe she'll win me over this time.
There is no way on earth you are going to lose friends simply because we disagree about the new season of DW. Friends are way too important to lose over something that silly. We can always agree to disagree.
Glad to hear you enjoyed your retreat. I know I've not been around to chat much. The job keeps me busy all day and by the time I get home I'm exhausted. Thrilled to hear that Brandon is doing well too.

See, now I have to know. Is it that you like it, or that you hate it? I am totally accepting of either, and everything in between.
